Comprehensive Intial Examination:
The Comprehensive Initial Exam is the most important visit you will have in our office. Not only will we be gathering pertinent information, educating you on your specific dental needs and meeting our staff to start building a trustworthy relationship. We feel this relationship is crucial to ensure your comfort for future visits.
Upon your first visit with us you will arrive with a welcomed reception. Your new patient paperwork will either be mailed or downloaded to be completed at home and brought with you to help expedite your time in our office. Before your exam starts you will be given a tour of our office, explaining our highest level of sterilization techniques as well as helping you get familiar with our office. We highly encourage questions that may arise during this visit and any in the future visits.
After a review of medical and dental history we will take a blood pressure reading to document. We can routinely take a reading per visit per your request. Since this will be the first time meeting you we will discuss your expectations for your dental health. After recording and gathering of necessary X-rays, Periodontal exam, Oral Cancer exam and a Cavity Detection exam, not only will we discuss these exams, but we can also show you exactly what we are seeing with our Intra Oral Camera. This technology is a small wand with a camera at the end that can magnify and be displayed on a monitor, so you can actually see areas in you mouth you may find hard to see. If esthetics is a concern; additional information may be gathered, such as photos and Mounted Study Models, which are full impressions of your teeth. This information will then be thoroughly studied to help ensure your cosmetic needs are met. A consultation will be scheduled at a later date to privately discuss your treatment options.
